yesterday, Dreamhost was having a special for St. Patrick’s Day. Basically, one year’s worth of hosting for $10. Got to love those Irish. Dreamhost was one of the hosts I was looking at when planning to move my site back in the summer. I still like my old host, blue host, for a variety of reasons, but it really wasn’t up for kitty videos that more or less brought it to its knees. Blue host has upgraded their service since I left, but that happened after I moved on.
So the plan is to host my kitty videos with Dreamhost and maybe my MemesWar site, but I have not decided that yet. On one hand I want to keep my kitty videos away from the rest of what I do, on the other hand I trust Dreamhost’s bandwidth a little more than I trust Lunarpages’ bandwidth.
But I do like Lunarpages basic layout a little more than Dreamhost, so far. but that could have as much to do with familiarity as it could anything, so we will see how it goes and pound our head as is appropriate.
