Think I need some eagles for this one. It’s already one of these day. Still having fun with the spammers, you know who you are. Fun on all sides. Several things in play at the moment, going back and relearning my video chops. Vegas 12 has a bunch of improvements which help in reducing stupid time mistakes, but there is quite a bit of prep that goes into making it work.
But a bunch of cool features, none the less.
I’m also considering lightroom which is a great photo editor as I’m shooting more photos than video these days. And I’m working more with Genesis, the framework for the site on which you find yourself. None of this is helping me get to where I want to go, mostly cutting through the thickets.
Not entirely true, since I spent a good deal of the day banging my head against the wall trying to figure out Premise, until I figured out, hey, why not ask for help, maybe I’m making this too difficult, and that was the case. Turns out it was easy as expected, in that, yes, I have to do the work, but the heavy lifting is already done for me.
What this means to you, is I can finally put my martial arts stuff behind a wall, which is a good thing. I’ve already got at least two stalkers I am aware of, no doubt there is more floating around somewhere. But I can put folks behind a wall and build from there.
I’m also taking a renewed interest in this web-site, probably a home for my writing prior to putting a full campaign out there.
Also, my organization skills suck, but assume the poetry is on its way too.

Haven’t heard from Mike lately, but that is in the works too. Now off to save the world….

The site hacking continues

The site is over-run at the moment by false email ids. Not sure what they hope to accomplish by invading my site, but I am not happy about it. I have contacted my host Lunar pages about it, and we have been looking at the problem for a week or so, think it has been resolved then once again, they come back with a vengeance.

Not too happy about this turn of events at all. I took the drastic action to day of turning off all the plug-ins that are not security driven. The emails are showing up exclusively on this domain, but as it is the main one, they may be accessing the other domains, which is not acceptable either.

Still waiting for a response from the lunar pages team.

In other news I am working on all the sites simultaneously and getting some writing done. I’m also back in the editing bay which is fun, already remembering the things that I’ve forgotten that would be really useful to remember right about now…..

Well that answers that. In the time it took to write this little muse, with all the plug-ins turned off, yet another email registrar snuck in through the cracks. At least I can turn the ones I use back on.

Basic maintenance

Consolidating and grinding, I feel a bit like mickey mouse dumping buckets of water after it has risen above my head. Interesting new problem, the word wrap doesn’t seem to work the way it once did.

So a status report and all that. There is a growing volume of video on the martial arts side that needs processing and a whole bunch of tapes that need a home once and for all. It is amazing the amount of stuff that is still hiding out in the writing/editing room these days. But there is less than there was and I’m finding other places to get the writing done, none of which appears here. So it goes.

Working on the business plan, working on the novel, my student wants me to work on a lesson plan, for the MA, and oh yeah, Mike K. and myself may be working on something together.

Life is good. Now I need to take more pictures.

Hey folks,
down with a cold which makes speaking somewhat impossible at the moment. After much continued neglect, I’ve come to a couple of conclusions about what to and what not to say about various subjects.

Specifically, my world views as they apply to the martial arts and the world. I haven’t decided exactly how I am going to proceed, but this place is more for ruminations than the technical.

I’m also rebuilding the basic framework, and am settling on one theme to rule them all. So I welcome Genesis to the fold and away we go.

I went back to the Sf animal care and control today, checked out the cats. I was welcomed back. Felt very cool and it was nice to be remembered.
